LISTENING & LEARNING EXPEDITIONS
Expand your worldview…
An expedition is a journey a group of people take for a clear purpose. These Extollo Listening and Learning Expeditions will spend significant time listening to our Haitian staff, Haitian business and civic leaders, and our Haitian students - along with learning about the history of Haiti and the manifold dynamics that brought Haiti to where it is now (and continues to dog its potential). You will see many things, but not from the vantage point as a mere tourist. You will be invited into pain, hopes, joys, challenges, and disappointments. For only when we first listen and learn can we be emptied of our sense of control enough to receive insight from on high.
Trips cost $$$ plus airfare and includes lodging, ground/water transportation, interpreters, meals and bottled water for a five day trip. Any remaining funds support Extollo’s general purposes.
Haiti Expeditions leave on Monday and return on Friday. Airplane tickets normally range between $600 and $950 depending on where you are coming from, the time of year, and how far in advance you book your flight. Extollo staff will help coordinate your flight arrangements.
**Team Members must be 15 years old or older. Children under 15 years must be pre-approved by Extollo.**
