Impact Report - August 2025

Morning meeting as the Haiti team along with Expat guests plan for the day.
Morning meeting as the Haiti team along with Expat guests plan for the day.

August was a month of tremendous momentum for Extollo. From advancing new trade school programs to preparing construction infrastructure, and from celebrating graduates putting their skills to work to building capacity in both Haiti and the U.S.—your support made it possible.

At every step, our work is guided by seven core Character Traits—teamwork, responsibility, integrity, excellence, discipline, initiative, and respect. These values are woven into everything we do at Extollo, and this month we saw them on full display across all areas of ministry.

Building the Trade School

This month, our teamwork was evident as the construction and trade school staff worked hand-in-hand to relocate all school supplies into a newly outfitted container on campus. Thanks to creative storage solutions, fans, and lighting, the space is ready for long-term use.

The responsibility shown by our Auto Care leaders was inspiring. Roody inspected multiple vehicles, creating a hands-on training plan that integrates real-world repairs into student learning. Even as staffing plans shifted, our team pressed forward with curriculum development—demonstrating both discipline and initiative to keep momentum strong for a late 2025 launch.

In Welding, we’re nearly ready to open registration. Curriculum, staff, and core supplies are in place, and additional tools are being sourced to ensure excellence when training begins.

And perhaps most exciting—recent electrical graduates are already applying their skills. Six HHA students assessed electrical systems across the Kay Anj D’Haiti campus, identifying 20 repairs. Their work was celebrated by the local community and highlighted the integrity of Extollo’s training approach—equipping students not just with skills, but with the confidence to serve their neighbors.

We also celebrated entrepreneurship this month. Alum Bebetho André launched Baps Enterprise, now Extollo’s go-to vendor for custom hats and T-shirts. His story is a vivid reminder that when young Haitians are equipped with knowledge and mentorship, they can build futures marked by respect—for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Strengthening Construction Capacity

On the construction front, the team graded land, managed container logistics, and tested equipment for the new concrete lab—all while onboarding four new workers with strong potential. These activities required precision and discipline, ensuring that every detail was handled safely and effectively.

The teamwork between Haitian staff and U.S. support was key in sourcing materials, moving tools into place, and setting up container storage units. Even as security challenges pause work at Bercy, the crew’s initiative ensures steady progress at HHA and beyond.

Administration & Operations

Behind the scenes, our Haitian administrative staff exemplified responsibility and integrity as they coordinated payroll, managed container arrivals, and hosted visitors. From preparing accommodations to handling legal and financial follow-ups, their work keeps daily operations running smoothly.

Meanwhile, our U.S. team ensured donor acknowledgments were processed with care, while continuing to innovate with IT and construction systems. From shipping a container to Haiti to rolling out new software platforms, their efforts reflect a deep commitment to excellence and sustainability.

August also brought creative fundraising campaigns—including our August Mug Campaign—keeping donor momentum strong even in the face of Haiti’s ongoing security challenges. These efforts are possible because of your trust and partnership. Every act of generosity helps us invest in the infrastructure, staff, and training that make long-term transformation possible. Thank you!

Looking Ahead

As we look toward the fall, we are excited to expand trade programs, strengthen construction operations, and continue investing in both people and systems. We know that progress in Haiti requires teamwork, steady discipline, and faithful integrity—and together, we are laying a foundation for lasting change.

We invite you to lean in deeper:

  • Share Extollo’s story with your friends and family.

  • Pray for continued wisdom and safety for our staff and students.

  • Visit Haiti with us one day to see firsthand the incredible work you’ve made possible.

Thank you for embodying the very same traits we seek to live out each day—teamwork, responsibility, integrity, excellence, discipline, initiative, and respect. Together, we are building not just classrooms and construction projects, but hope and opportunity for Haiti’s future.

Join the Crew

The vast majority of our students are unable to afford Extollo's high-quality vocational training. As a community of advocates, CREW members provide financial support to ambitious men and women who are elevating their careers, their families, and their communities.

ree

Each student at Extollo is required to pay a portion of their course fee. Based on an amount that fits their monthly budget, CREW members commit to covering the remaining cost of the student's education through scholarships. We're looking for more people to join the crew so that we can increase our impact in Haiti.
