Your Support in Action

Thanks to your incredible support, June was a month of significant progress and exciting new beginnings at Extollo! We're thrilled to share how your generosity is directly impacting lives through our training programs, construction initiatives, and operational advancements in Haiti. As always, the seven character traits — teamwork, responsibility, integrity, excellence, discipline, initiative, and respect — are the bedrock of everything we do, guiding our staff and students as we build a brighter future.

Trade School: Building Skills, Fostering Character

June marked a major milestone for our vocational training program: the launch of the Electrical Level 1 class at our new training center at Holistic Haitian Alliance (HHA)! This was a true testament to teamwork and discipline.

  • Ready for Power: Our construction team demonstrated remarkable excellence by completing the electrical training props and continuing work on shelving for the trade school container. We meticulously updated the training manual and exercises, incorporating lessons from previous classes and revising the electrical outline for more individual, hands-on installation practice. Haitian instructors will now be fully equipped with developed instructor's notes, empowering them to lead with excellence.

  • Organized for Success: Haiti staff, Clenson and Bereca, exemplified incredible responsibility and discipline as they painstakingly received, inventoried, and organized over 400 electrical components, labeling everything for easy access. This level of organization ensures that our instructors and students can operate with maximum efficiency and respect for resources.

  • Growing Our Team: We were delighted to welcome new team members who embody our values. Vanessa joined as Assistant Trainer to Dan, bringing an attentive approach to student support. Princesse came on board as Translator, and Edlin as Photographer, all providing essential support for the new class. Their initiative and dedication strengthen our foundation.

  • Reaching Further: Clenson and Bereca showcased their initiative by hosting visitors from Freedom House, introducing them to Extollo's programs. Clenson is eager to leverage his Cap-Haitian network, supported by new marketing materials, to expand our reach and promote Extollo with integrity. We also connected with various NGOs interested in sponsoring students for the electrical class, demonstrating our commitment to broadening access to education.

  • Spiritual Growth & Operational Strength: Our trade school devotionals have been enhanced, encouraging deeper thought and discussion – fostering integrity and respect. Clenson received comprehensive training from Jonathan on processing Missionary Flights International (MFI) shipments, a valuable skill that will significantly aid operations and showcases his discipline.

  • Leading with Purpose: Our staff meets daily for devotionals, with Junior continuing to provide invaluable pastoral support and mentoring, fostering respect and integrity. Clenson has emerged as a spiritual leader, often leading devotionals, showcasing his incredible initiative.

  • Alumni Giving Back: In collaboration with masonry advisor Josh M, we developed specifications for a sound barrier wall to reduce generator noise. This project offers our top masonry students an opportunity to practice and enhance their reinforced masonry skills, demonstrating excellence and a commitment to continuous learning.

Construction: Building Foundations, Inspiring Progress

Our construction team has been hard at work, laying the groundwork for future growth and embodying the spirit of teamwork.

  • New Horizons: Extollo has new property in the north that will continue to be developed for training and business ventures! Coordination with a surveyor for the property was completed, and the site has undergone thorough cleaning. Extra backfill was laid on the entrance road to improve heavy equipment access, showing our discipline in preparation. Extollo has also acquired two new vehicles that will be shipping soon to add to the Operational Fleet.

  • Powering Education: At the vocational school site, a 10 KW solar power system was installed, with 2 batteries and 24 solar panels in place – a shining example of our commitment to sustainable excellence. Final grading was completed on two sides of the vocational school, and materials for storage organization were purchased, demonstrating our responsibility in preparing the space.

  • Maintaining Equipment: All necessary information was sent for sourcing a new transmission for the dump truck, and spare parts were shipped for the paint sprayer and skill saw, aiding in equipment inspections and repairs. This proactive approach underscores our discipline in maintaining our assets.

Will you be ONE of TEN!?

This month, we're looking for just TEN more people to join our Crew of monthly donors. If you believe in Extollo and our mission in Haiti, would you consider Joining the Crew?

The vast majority of our students are unable to afford Extollo's high-quality vocational training. As a community of advocates, CREW members provide financial support to ambitious men and women who are elevating their careers, their families, and their communities.

Each student at Extollo is required to pay a portion of their course fee. Based on an amount that fits their monthly budget, CREW members commit to covering the remaining cost of the student's education through scholarships. We're looking for more people to join the crew so that we can increase our impact in Haiti.

We are incredibly grateful for your unwavering support. Every contribution directly enables us to continue building resilient systems and opening new pathways for students and staff alike. This work is part of something bigger – joining in what God is doing through Extollo to create lasting change.

Thank you for being a vital part of the Extollo community!
